People ignore design that ignores people. — Frank Chimero
A recent report by Ofcom, publish on 6th August 2015, found that a third of internet users (33%) consider their phone the most important device for browsing the web. This marks a big shift since 2014 when 22% of users reached for their mobile first. This trend will continue into 2016 and beyond.
With mobile devices quickly becoming the main way people browse the internet it is important that websites are designed to look great on all devices.
We take a mobile first approach with all the websites we design. What this actually means is that our sites look great on mobiles, tablets, desktops, laptops and even TVs.
When it comes to mobile-friendly sites Google have upped the ante, by only showing websites that are mobile friendly in their mobile search results. Meaning that if your site in not optimised for mobile and someone types in a search term related to your website on their mobile device it won't show up. That could be 33% of your customers you are losing by not having a mobile optimised site.
Google have a tool to check if your website is mobile-friendly, click on the button below to put your site to the test.
